VoIP Calling
Platform VoIP is the recommended way to make calls from SellerCockpit. It’s a fully managed service - no external accounts or complex setup required.
Overview
With Platform VoIP, you get:
- No setup complexity - We handle all the Twilio infrastructure
- Credit-based billing - Pay only for what you use via your SellerCockpit credits
- Phone numbers included - Get numbers based on your subscription plan
- Automatic compliance - Regulatory bundles managed for you
- Instant activation - Start calling within minutes
Getting Started
Step 1: Enable the Add-on
- Go to Settings > Add-ons
- Find Platform VoIP in the list
- Click Enable
Step 2: Set Up Your Account
- Navigate to Settings > Platform VoIP
- Click Create Subaccount to provision your dedicated calling account
- Wait a few seconds for account creation
Step 3: Get a Phone Number
- Click Add Phone Number or use the number wizard
- Select your country
- Choose an area code (optional)
- Select a number from available options
- Complete any required regulatory information
- Confirm the number
Your number will be active immediately after provisioning.
Phone Number Allocation
Your subscription plan includes a certain number of phone numbers:

Extra numbers beyond your plan allocation are billed monthly in credits.
Making Calls
Once set up, making calls is simple:
- Navigate to any contact
- Click the Call button (phone icon)
- Handle GDPR consent if prompted
- Start talking!

Call Costs
Platform VoIP uses your SellerCockpit credit balance:
- Outbound calls: ~0.5-2 credits per minute (varies by destination)
- Inbound calls: Coming soon
- Recording storage: Included in your storage quota
Check your credit balance in Settings > Credits.
Regulatory Compliance
Platform VoIP automatically handles regulatory requirements:
- Address verification - Required in some countries
- Business documentation - For certain number types
- Regulatory bundles - Automatically created and managed
You’ll be guided through any required compliance steps when provisioning numbers.
Troubleshooting
Subaccount Creation Failed
If subaccount creation fails:
- Ensure your company profile is complete
- Check you have sufficient permissions
- Contact support if the issue persists
Number Provisioning Failed
Common reasons:
- Regulatory bundle pending approval
- Invalid address for the country
- Number type not available in your region

Alternative: Bring Your Own Twilio Account
If you prefer full control over your Twilio account and billing, you can use the BYOK (Bring Your Own Keys) model instead.
